The CNA-Casual Pool position is established primarily to work at CLA programs that support program participants with challenging behaviors and/or challenging medical conditions, but can also be utilized at any site requiring staffing when other avenues have been exhausted. The CNA guides and assists program participants to live and function as independently as possible within the community in accordance with the Principles of Normalization, the philosophy of Positive Approaches and the principles found in the Everyday Lives document. In addition, due to the intensity of behavior management plans or medical conditions, the CNA is responsible for participating in and implementing all plans as directed by the Residential Program Supervisor/Residential Program Supervisor 1 and the Assistant Director of Developmental Disability Services. Work is reviewed for effectiveness and adherence to program policies and procedures by the Staff Recruitment/Development Coordinator.
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate.
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities helpful.
